From Instapundit to an index of photoblogs to the photoblog Satan's Laundromat to, umm, this.

Not quite the ringing endorsement they have on their homepage.

Greenfield consistently ranks among the top schools in the city in scholastic performance. Then again, for Philadelphia maybe being Adequate does make it a top performer.
A little google search later, AYP or "Adequate Yearly Progress" is a metric used to meet No Child Left Behind in Philadelphia. The website Philadelphia Public School Notebook is currently featuring a report on AYP and both public and private schools in the city. They include an editorial that almost makes fun of the name and includes some *cough* interesting quotes like
"Clearly there is diminishing space for teachers to introduce their own creative and challenging lessons."and
"School diversity is discouraged. A school can avoid accountability for the performance of a “subgroup” – special education students, English Language Learners, Blacks, Latinos, Asians, etc."Is it just me or doesn't that list of "subgroups" include 90% of the students in Philadelphia?
