Strange Cab Ride Part LXLVIC

I'm chatty with cabbies ("schools are on spring break, how's goings?") in general. This particualr cabbie, a Moroccan, added a qualified good but added all his friends are moving south to greener pastures. I asserted the pastures were greener elsewhere due to tax competition, MA has a glut of patronage jobs that go to some legilator's cousin. MA has been losing 1% of its population every year for the last 20 years [add globe link here]. After we hit my address he pulled over for five minutes and asked me to finish my anti-socialist schpiel.

At the end he said he votes democrat (I didn't ask his legal status but his english was polished enough to impy legal and long standing) because he is anti-war. He also said he was reconsidering moving out because he didn't want to pay higher taxes to support legal graft (a worry on taxes reinforces the notion he is legal). At the end he moved from definite Democrat to possible Independent. As a Moroccan he's still stridently anti-war but as a small businessman he now appreciates the Big Dig as typical third-word graft.

His english was quite good and he says he reads so I reccomended "The Road to Serfdom" as a reach and "Free to Choose" as a fallback (he asked where I got these "new" ideas, so I told him). Anyway, it was a big change from the standard Domnican cabbie. That rundown involves me speaking French badly.

[by nature of the time on a Friday this was posted and the fact that I had to take a cab home there is a very strong chance I will police this post later for typos, spelling, and likely grammar.]
