This guy had a problem with his Verizon bill. It turns out that several levels of tech support can't do math. He was quoted a rate of "0.002 cents per kilobyte" of data roaming.
Caller: Do you recognize there is a difference between one dollar and one cent?
Verizon: Definitely.
Caller: Do you recognize there is a difference between half a dollar and half a cent?
Verizon: Definitely.
Caller: Do you recognize there is a difference between 0.002 dollars and 0.002 cents?
Verizon: No.
There is some magic switch that clicks off in the phone reps head once they start talking about anything smaller than a tenth of a cent. It is really just amazing how obstinate they are even when using calculators.
Verizon: It is obviously a difference of opinion.
Caller: No, it's not.
