bobsalive came down from NH this week. He got to see Jones and in his opinion I undersold Jones by a wide margin. Jones isn't just a 70s holdover; he is a rare specimen preserved in amber. Today he wore a bowling shirt (with his name on the back, natch) and plaid pants. It goes without saying that the creep can roll.

Kristy: 122, 107, 114, 128 (avg 118)
Mike: 160, 123, 157, 141 (avg 145)
bobsalive: 112, 114, 131, 167 (avg 131)
jackdied: 143, 119, 133, 124 (avg 130)

Tough day. Everyone had more strikes than spares which only happens when you are throwing 200s or when consistency has gone out the window.

Jones has to be seen to be believed. His name wasn't just on his shirt, his whole name (George Jones) was written across the whole back in six inch script. On two lines.
His pants weren't just plaid, but a baby blue and white plaid that was truly jarring.
Also, he looks a bit like Gregory Hines.

We also joked about some bowling Haikus, here is my contribution.

    Ready, ball in hand.
I take three steps and release,
    And they all fall down.

Here's another...

    The ball: round, perfect.
    The pins: shapely, smooth, striped.
    Soon they will collide.
