Al Gore Wins The Nobel "If I Were King" Prize

It was announced Friday that Al Gore and the United Nations have jointly won the Nobel "If I Were King" (IIWK) prize. While other Nobel prizes such as chemistry, physics, medicine, or economics reward actual and finite accomplishments the IIWK prize is reserved for those high minded people and organizations that know what the future could be, if only they were in charge. Past winners have included Yasser Arafat, Jimmy Carter, and the perennial winner the United Nations.
In his acceptance speech Gore kept to the traditional format where IIWK and "and then there would be peace" are implied but not spoken.
-
Gore: [If I Were King] Man would repent for his sins, dress in sackcloth and ashes, and give up his carbo-centric ways. [and then there would be peace]
-
Yasser Arafat: [If I Were King] ixnay israelway [and then there would be peace]
Jimmy Carter: [If I Were King] They like me, they really really like me! [and then there would be peace]
